Getting Started with Plauti Context

Plauti Context is a Salesforce-native data quality intelligence platform. It helps you understand and monitor the health of your Salesforce data by running analysis jobs across your objects and fields, and storing the results in a centralized Context Library.

This article walks you through the steps to get up and running. Each step links to one or more dedicated articles with full details.

1 Install Plauti Context

Install the app from the Salesforce AppExchange.

Start with Admin Only

Tip: During installation, select ‘Administrators only’. Add broader access only after you have finished configuring the app.

2 Configure Objects

Before running any analysis, tell Plauti Context which Salesforce objects and fields to analyze, and which analysis types to apply.

In Context Setup > Object Configuration, you can:

  • Add the Objects you want to analyze.
  • Enable or disable individual fields per object for analysis.
  • Enable or disable analysis types per field.
  • Adjust default settings such as thresholds or case sensitivity; either as an exception for certain fields, or for use as the new default settings.

Each object comes with sensible defaults, so you can start with minimal configuration and refine later.

3 Run a Context Job

Once your objects are configured, run a Context Analysis job to analyze your data.

  • You can start with an Ad Hoc Job, to see what job results will look like. Results from an Ad Hoc job are not stored in the Context Library, so excellent for trying out different configurations.
  • Then, when you're happy with the results, run a Library Job for each Object. The results of these are stored in the Context Library for further use.

4 Grant Access to Users

After configuring the app and running your first jobs, grant other users access via one of two permission sets:

  • Plauti Context End User: read access to the Context Library and job analysis results.
  • Plauti Context Admin: full configuration and Context Job access.

Using the provided permission sets is recommended over custom profiles, as they are automatically updated with each new release.
